Breath and Shadow was an installation by Sara Garden Armstrong that was on display at the Alabama School of Fine Arts from 02.02.17 – 03.03.17. I worked in collaboration with Sara to create a soundscape to bring cohesiveness to the structures and the theme of Breath and Shadow. This work juxtaposes artwork from different periods of Sara’s career to form a new multimedia installation. Light and sound are used to connect painted shadows to three-dimensional forms and change the gallery into a living, breathing environment of air, light, and sound.
LIT HOUSE began over a year ago when me and a fellow creative, ThePrblms wanted to create an event to bring together local creatives. Not long after its creation LIT HOUSE has nestled itself as Birmingham’s premiere spot to discover indie art and music. By creating a platform for Birmingham creatives to congregate and showcase their art and music, this event provides an environment for likeminded individuals to network and foster relationships.
