Lit House began in 2015 as an event hosted by DoReMe Media Group to provide a space for local talent to showcase their work and build relationships. The seventh installment of Lit House took place on July 2nd at the Syndicate Lounge and included live music performances, local artists selling their artwork, and DJs to provide music for the evening. The night began with DJ Micah Lewis providing sounds for guests and a live painting by Devonte Holt. Lit Karaoke began, a fundraiser where any of the attendees could make a donation to perform a song of their choice. A portion of the proceeds collected through Lit Karaoke went to the Alabama School of Fine Arts Foundation to support their initiative of building a generation of artists, scientists, and thinkers among area youth. Next up, DJ Gina T helped set the atmosphere with an array of music for the crowd to enjoy before the live acts began. YoungBlood was the first of the live acts and hit the stage with his unique performance style and stage lighting. Kudoz kept the momentum going by introducing some of his latest music projects for the crowd. Last, but not least, Kakashii ended the live performance portion of the night on a high note with explosive energy that was entertaining to watch and hear.
